Terms of Service, Hold Harmless & Privacy Policy

Effective September 18, 2026. Central Florida. Governed by Florida law. Checking “I agree” on the booking form is your signature on this document.

Part I — Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Katie’s Paws & Passions is a pet-sitting service operated by Kaitlin Rogers and Tony Barber. We provide in-home pet sitting in Central Florida. Katie is First Aid / CPR certified. Paws & Passions is insured. We are glad to share time and energy with you and your pets and to give compassionate, quality care to your very special family members. 2. Rates

Drop-in $30. Per day (two visits) $50. Overnight (full day with feeding and overnight) $80. All visits include photos and video updates. After two pets total, add $15 per additional pet per day or night. Holiday sits add $20. Sits of a week or longer, or sits paid in full before service, receive 15% off. Preferred pay is half at the start date and half when you return. Balance is due no later than 48 hours after you return. Zelle, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and debit card (Stripe) are accepted. The app invoice deposit is one-half of the total. Bookings are non-refundable; cancel keeps the deposit.

3. Use of the app

You use the app at your own discretion. It is a booking and communication tool. Using it does not create extra duties beyond the sit you booked and does not make Kaitlin Rogers, Tony Barber, or Paws & Passions liable merely because you booked on a phone or computer. You must give true contact details and honest pet information. You are responsible for keys, alarms, gate codes, medications, and anything a sitter needs to keep the animals safe. You confirm you have the right to authorize care for every animal on the booking. Share house codes or a spare key set. Tell us if there is a security alarm or cameras.

4. Hold harmless and payment — Florida

If the pet owner’s pet accidentally becomes injured or otherwise, the pet owner waives and releases Kaitlin Rogers and Anthony Barber from any claim arising from such an incident. If the pet owner’s pet bites or injures Kaitlin Rogers, Anthony Barber, or any other human or animal, the pet owner will be responsible for any resulting injury and shall hold harmless and indemnify Kaitlin Rogers and Anthony Barber from any claim or suit that may be brought as a result. The pet owner shall hold harmless and indemnify Kaitlin Rogers and Anthony Barber against costs, expenses, losses, liabilities, and claims arising out of or relating to any acts of the pet owner’s pet, except for negligence or intentional misconduct on the part of the pet sitter.

The pet owner authorizes Kaitlin Rogers and Anthony Barber to seek and obtain medical attention and treatment as deemed necessary by a veterinarian. The pet owner remains responsible for veterinary bills unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Florida law does not allow us to excuse our own negligence or intentional misconduct. Nothing here waives a right Florida statutes say you cannot waive. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for a dispute is a court of competent jurisdiction in Florida. Insurance and First Aid / CPR certification do not make a sit risk-free and do not change that you book at your own discretion.

5. Liability cap

To the fullest extent allowed by Florida law, our total liability connected to a booking will not exceed the amount you actually paid us for that booking, except for injury caused by our negligence or intentional misconduct. We are not liable for app outages, delayed emails, or missed messages you did not confirm by phone when something looked wrong.

Part II — Privacy Policy (Florida)

6. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to talk with you about your pets and to run the sit: name, phone, email, address; pet name, age, gender, species/breed, medication, AM/PM feeding, notes; house codes or key notes; alarm and camera yes/no; emergency contact and veterinarian if you add them (we already have your phone and email, so we do not ask you to repeat those as the emergency person); dates, plan, fees, invoice, payment method and status; and your agreement to these terms.

We do not sell, rent, or broker your personal information. We do not use it to build unrelated advertising profiles. Florida’s Information Protection Act (Chapter 501, Florida Statutes) requires reasonable measures to protect personal information. We keep records on the booking device, our sit memory file, and with a payment processor if you pay by card. Stripe, Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, Apple Pay, or PayPal see only what they need to move money. We do not store full debit or credit card numbers.

7. Who else may see it

Kaitlin Rogers and Anthony Barber (Tony), and a sitter acting for a booked sit, may see the file they need. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect a person or animal from immediate harm. Hosting the app may store technical logs. Those parties are not given your file to use for their own marketing.

8. How long we keep it and your choices

We keep a client file while we may sit for you again and for a reasonable time after the last sit for invoices and safety notes. You may ask what we have on file, correct it, or ask us to close a file we no longer need for a sit, taxes, or a legal claim. Call 860-709-7745 or email pawsandpassions@outlook.com. If we learn of a breach of personal information as Florida defines it, we will give notice as that law requires. The app is for adult pet owners. Do not submit a child’s personal information as if they were the client.

9. Changes

If these terms or this privacy policy change in a material way, we will post the new date in the app or tell you when you next book. Continued use after that date means you accept the update for future sits. A sit already booked keeps the deposit and cancel rules that applied when you submitted it, unless we both agree otherwise.

Acknowledgement

By checking the agreement boxes and submitting a booking you confirm you have read these Terms of Service, the Hold Harmless and Payment terms, and this Privacy Policy; that Paws & Passions is insured; that you use the app at your own discretion; and that you want your information used only to talk with you about your pets and to carry out the sit.
